The colors and tones really make this picture. What would ordinarily be just a snapshot becomes a photograph very pleasing to the eyes. Nice work.

This is awesome Shirley. You can feel the mood almost jumping off the screen. Without trying to sound corny it gave me goosebumps.

Thank you Lara. Your comment came at a time when I really needed to here something good about my work. Interesting, isn't it, how coincidences happen.

Thanks Mike. You're monitor isn't off, I probably should have classified this as PhotoArt. I ran it through a PS program that emulates Polaroid emulsion. The effect can be very pleasing at times.

Thanks so much Kallol. Your taking the time to compare the two and compare them means a lot. Take care.

Thanks Bulent. Sometimes grain can add to a picture and sometime detract. I wasn't completely sure with this one. Your feedback helped a lot.

Very beautiful floral Shirley. The photoart/stained glass effect is very pleasing and complimentary to the subject.

I wondered if maybe that was the case. I notice pictures on the home page that are repetitive and even dead accounts. It seems to me that PhotoNet is also really going downhill, at least compared to how it was a few years ago. So sad to see. No of any other good critique sites? I don't participate very much anymore, because it seems like things have changed so much and a lot of the fun is gone.

Shirley! So good to see you! Thanks for commenting. I no I don't reciprocate nearly as much as I ought. To be honest I've tried a couple of times to get in to your pictures here on Usefilm, but it wouldn't let me in. I wasn't even sure if you were still around. I've had trouble getting into Usefilm itself several times. Never no if it's the site or my internet connection. I deleted tons of my old pictures. Didn't realize it drove your ratings in to the negative when you did that. Oh well . . .

Thanks Michelle. Yes, it is infrared. There is something mystical, surreal and romantic about IR, I love it. Glad to here I'm not the only one that was in college many moons ago :)

Adorable looking dog, Brigitte. Makes me wonder what he's looking at or thinking about. Very well composed and exposed. Nice work!

Thanks Alex. You're right about the camera. I used to own a 10D which I loved, but I would never have been able to take this picture and extract the details out of the shadows (foreground) like I have here. There'd have been artifacts and noise so bad it would have wrecked the picture.
