It is a northern bald ibis. From wikipedia "This species is now officially critically endangered, with an estimated population in of 420 in the wild and about 1500 in captivity (2004). It retains only a foothold in Morocco, Turkey and Syria."

I took it in the San Diego Wild Animal Park Aviary.

Quite interesting! My eye was immediately drawn to the ballon, only to figure out it was a balloon..then made me look for the sun. And from there, eyes down to view the rest of the pic.
