yes, Riham, completey natural. Here is another shot taken a few minutes before the main one displayed here. I have done no enhancement to the colours post shot..

Hi Nick.

This has to be the most outstanding Aurora Borealis shot I've ever seen. Your patience was certainly rewarded.
Congratulations.

Hi Nick, nice to meet you here in UF, and to see your fantastic aurora photos. They are brilliant! I would be interested to know the exposure info if you can remember. I can see a little movement has appeared in the stars so i presume around 1 minute? Excellent image and as you say it works perfectly in B&W.
Thanks for looking at my "room with a view". It was taken here in Switzerland on the Rigi mountain near Luzern. It has an Altitude of 1800m. I had gone there to try and catch the early morning panorama which should be one of the best in the alps. Unfortunately the weather forecast was not quite correct and i only saw lots of clouds after getting up at 4.30am - Luck if the draw.

Best wishes Neil

It is a beautiful and dramatic shot, Nick, but I would be curious to see the colour version, as well!

Just curious... What were your Shutter and Aperture settings? I've been playing with night shots and need all the help I can get. It looks like you have this all figured out.

Great capture! Beautiful shot! Looks like the shot is skewed a smidge counterclockwise, but it might be me. Love the B&W.

Thanks Paul, here is a better process of the original image - I added grain before and it made it look softer.

This one has a different crop, Photokit sharpen and Platinum BW tint.

Cheers, Nick

Hi Nick - apart from a bit of the soft focus, it's a stupendous portrait & it does justice to the real life of the Inuit, excellent B/W. Bravo!!!
