take some pictures of your sister! Pretend she is a frog. I'm sure the lighting will be perfect.

A.M., no bait involved, I wouldn't know what to bait them with anyway. They just hang out in my wife's garden. I'm on my hands and knees moving very slowly, closer and closer to them. They do fly off but tend to come back to the same spot. So if you just wait them out, they do come back. Yes it was hand held, camera in the right hand, remote flash in the left hand. Thanks for the comment!

Danny,......What are you using for bait ? Great shot, are you hand holding ? I just can't imagine being setup with a tripod and have it come along. Again great shot.

Thanks all for commenting. Saw this guy in the garden, went and got the camera and figured he'd be gone. Take a couple of steps, take a couple of pictures, he'd fly off make a big loop around the yard, land in the same spot. Couple more steps, couple more pictures. Went on until I got this shot, I couldn't have been three inches from the dragonfly. Thanks again.

Ron, To get these guys to cooperate you just cool them down a little bit before the shoot. Doesn't hurt them, they just get manageable. Then they run off. Thanks for the comment.

I love this! The vibrant colour of the two flowers as well as the lounging lizard... it all comes together so well!
Great job!

Danny, now tell me the truth....you have it trained ! I've
been trying for weeks to get a picture of one by the stream
next to my house but, it's gone in a heartbeat. Very nice
shot.

Hi Danny. I like the image quite a bit, however; the more I look, the more I keep thinking the moon and water compete with each other. Maybe if the moon was a tad smaller ??? I still like the image.

I think the image would work just as well w/o the moon. Ever thought about changing the color of the moon to more of a harvest gold tone, since it's so large of a moon. The lower the moon, usually the warmer it is.

Don't get me wrong, I still like it. There are so many possiblities with it.

Good job.

I think this is a very humurous image. The jolly colours in the water combined with the lights and the deformed buildings make it just a photo from a fairy tale

Your capture of the detail in the wings is stunning.. and there seems to be a 'Jiminy Cricket' smile on his face. Just lovely.

Lovely shot! Especially effective as you waited for the tiger to look straight at you. Shame about the fencing in the background, but you've minimised its impact with DOF. I thought cropping a little off the left and right might reduce the fencing but it didn't really work when I tried it.
Nice one!

This one just says "fun" to me - I love the belly ring and the star effect actually - but I would take the ring off the finger. I am just being picky but I personally find it a tad distracting. The colors and sharpness are perfect.
