Excellent composition with flowing angular lines and the clouds perfectly balancing the tree. Well done Peta. in a certain sense that guy was right - with todays technology almost anybody can take a good photo. I do think though, its not easy to take outstanding photos in any genre if you dont have the feel for composition, balance and the ability to recognise the main/important elements of a scene and then isolate/condense that onto a 35mm sized frame/CCD in a way that makes everybody look twice. Take care - I love your work. Joggie

Very nice colorful shot but I'm gonna be hyper-critical here...ok? Lighten the tree and take out the piece of cloud above the main white one...my suggestions.
Cheers for brightening up my day

Simple and strong. What a place to be... I'd crop out the top sky at the middle of the big cloud, but well, that's me

Great landscape Peta, the composition is awesome! The lighting on the grass hill is beautiful, and the tree and clouds are in the perfect spots! I like the curve of the hill connecting the two other elements (tree nd cloud) - and the great clarity of the blue sky. Wonderful color - and lesson to remember :) Best regards, Ina

Great shot and keep on shooting them; if everyone could do them then there would be no professionals. :) I really like the feeling of this...really reminds me of the big open spaces of Montana; love those clouds in there!

striking image P....well done mate. although something just doesn’t nail it for me. maybe i would like the tree gone and let my eyes feast on the contrasting colour and texture of the sky/clouds and the hill. that said i am a nutcase and wouldn’t know logic from my elbow. you are a fine photographer P....the only way i can critique is of a subjective nature. technically you are outstanding.

Not only do I love this photo Peta but I also LOVE what You said here! There is a hugh difference between a holiday snapshot of a beautiful place and a keen eye for composition exposure and overall final results. You have surely proved that person wrong! Fine landscape Peta!! My best......................John 7 !!!

interesting shot, needs a cow or sheep though in the right hand middle to lower corner. as the tree isn't strong enough to hold the attention. would also give the eyes a triangle between the tree the clouds and that corner (the normal track of the human eye)

Beautiful shot. The contrasting blue and gold is a real eye catcher. I do think this is cropped a bit tight. None the less the tension between the tree and the clouds still enable this work. Nice work not to over polarize this scene.
