Not to worry Ray
. . . Photography IS the true love here and it would continue with or without the website. I left my old 2oo3 images (a few) on here to remind me of how far I've come. Even so . . . my first award came in 2oo6 . . . many years later. So? Photography is still my love. I'm just thinking of another project because I have so many interests and I'm growing weary of this one. You'll note I NEVER said I wouldn't come back to it.
The social climate and the learning (where else would I have learned about extension tubes?) are the real rewards here. I have no illusions or ill will and certainly have my priortiies straight.

So the train arrives and starts what was a fascinating series my friend. I like this one as the setting off point. The man at the edge in semi-silhouette and the blur of the train look excellent. Hmmmn. This is my second favourite of the quartet my favorite is the second posting and the one I was immediatly drawn to. I loved that for all the reasons stated and although there were many of the elements in the other three, that one edged it for me. Well done Doyle a most enjoyable time viewing the four.....Can't wait to see where else your mission will take you.
Don't worry about awards my friend they'll come when they come...I've had two and six critiques in the eighty years I've been on this site:):) Seriously, just enjoy your photography and the lovely social climate of UF. My very best wishes to you as always Doyl....catch you soon.....Ray

. . . Thanks for the comments . . . and you're quite correct . . . the train IS moving . . . though not too fast as this is the station. Too bad we didn't know you and your hubby when you were about . . . we could have enjoyed dinner out and taken pictures of the chef and waiter!!!
. . . Don't know where you ended up but would never deny there are some places that are not 'welcoming' and while they may be related to race . . . it may also be related to obscure things like clothing color (used to ID gang affiliations) or who knows what?
. . . You're right, it's a pity and a waste and it grows from an ignorance and intolerance. And UF sharing does give us all a feel of world travel and a hint that we're all not so very different after all.
:)

Dear Doyle I like the sharp image of the man that is also a silhouette in contrast to the blurry train that looks like itīs moving. Iīve been one day in L.A. with my husband, and we traveled with the metro and ended in a place that looked like a ghetto. No one approached us - they just looked at us strange white people wanting to go to their neighbourhood. What a pity that so many people are still judging each other due to race, religion etc.:-( Sharing photos, dreams and ideas here on UF might help all of us take away our mental blindfolds. Best wishes, Annemette
