Hmm, Visar... I think you should better participate to more photo contests.

Anyway, the award for best use of light within composition seems inevitable to me. Just the logical result of your top mastering of light. It just had to happen this way, so for me it was something I would really expect.

Which doesn't mean that it isn't great news to me! It is the more than deserved confirmation of your long and careful study of light for photography.

Now, to this I raise my glass with you! Cheeeeers!

Nick

hi Nick,

today i was reading some of the comments on my photostream, and when i got to this pic. and read your comment, your apprechiation of it, I wanted to let you know that this pic won "the best use of light within composition" in Gjon Milli photo contest- my first time (and last, so far) participation on any photo contest.

:)

regards,
v.

Don't be sorry at all for butting in, Avi! For me it is one of the best possibilities to raise the party-coefficient of UF! Wish more guys would do that.

As about science-insanity, it's quite normal! Don't adore it, it can be also very sad! Why? Well, isn't it sad to find out that a 3D-body with an infinite surface can have a finite volume? That means that... a jar with such an infinite surface could still only contain one single lousy liter of whisky! A catastrophe, I tell you! ;-)

Cheers!

Sorry for butting in Nick, Visar..

Nick, I just ADORE your inter-relation of science and insanity !!! .. couldn't agree more !! :):):)

Cheers, guys !!

Another strange thing, Visar! I got the email notification and your message, but it doesn't appear on this web page. What the heck??? :-/

Anyway, what we play here is... football the other way around. That's easy to understand: Somebody throws the ball and about 87 kids run behind it with a strange shining in their eyes! We still didn't find the goal of the game but we are working on it! ;-) It's kick and run no matter where to! ;-)

As about insanity it was also the other way around. Not the scientist went insame, but rather the insane went scientist.

Any theory that says something about the universe has to be insane enough! ;-)

Cheers!

Kids just do it! Why don't we?

This is what this image introduces into my mind, Visar, with its light and sincere scenery. And it is not a "philosophical" but rather a humanistic question. What the hell could prevent me from just doing it? You gave the answer: Nothing at all! So I'll be in the streets tonight, together with the kids that play street soccer! ;-) Just because...

Cheers!

as i replied to Nick, Harry, this a known place to me, and i had many pictures hidden somewhere in my memory- but this time i could freeze them.

there's a few more to come of this series, i'd be glad to attract your attention. :)

thanks,

i just could not make sense of any improvisation, knowing the fact of having it ready made- like it is, like here ;)

apart for the characteristics and the originality of the '(my) playground'- which carries a whole variety of memories- and one of them is that barely could i enter this very hall, as it was used for official purposes, and they kept it close- though, we sneaked in anyhow- in a childish manner ;)- the light condition was great coming through three windows on the right whence the sun was setting, and on the right there was light just enough to make nice shadows.

kids just do it.

thanks Nick,
v.

Thankky dude,

there's a thing that, chasing mice through all possible horrifying, thrilling, fearsome location does not really change much the fact of those in a cyber world being called otherwise- they're both of the same world, conditions are different and that enjoys its own character.

humanly, feeling has more character than the word. words are trivial, and most of the time of some disguise.
just like now, trying to talk of my childhood ;)

That is very impressive, Visar, not only the memory but the way you presented it! The children in the background they stay children nothing fancy the front expression of the boy it is a story telling. Also love B/W and the shadowing lights!!!
Cheers,
Harry

And what a playground it is, Visar, for serious photography that lets reality be documented under the best possible light. I find it exciting that you didn't go the way of "dream factory Hollywood" and the like, but that you still hold on to that attitude of *being* and at the same time present such a great combination of a portrait and a scene.

The light does a great amount of work here. It defines the scene and the protagonist in different ways, but the whole scene doesn't lose anything at all from its original integrity. The good separation of Aural from the background works hand in hand with the light!

But above all, the image is authentic! It doesn't even try to tell me "stories" since it *has* the own story which is visible without the need of any fanfares. It's kids and they make anything to some kind of adventure place! Why do they do that? Just because! It's fun!

Cheers!

Nick

Wow dude, this is something special.

I mean the whole frame is like an open book telling a story about someones life that could be different, but fate has decided it all.
I am not a big believer in fate but I think that we were judged or I should say SENTENCED by it for decades. and at the end you come up with a great shot like this.
I am glad that you decided to show everyone how it was for some, and how it is for some others that take everything for granted.

I have no other words except t congratulate you on your great series and...keeep up.

Regards
B.L.
