Thanks Alison. The only problem is the noise you get with long exposure shots. I had dots all through it (foreground and sky). I used the paint program on my computer to go and remove the dots from the foreground but left the ones in the sky because they sort of looked stars. I have since discovered a noise reduction setting in the custom functions on my camera which works well. Only problem with it is if you leave the shutter open for 30min it takes another 30min to process the data before you can look at it.

Yeah the remote is working well. This one was taken over 25mins at f3.5 but am getting a lot of noise.

bingo.. you got it... the South Celestial.. hearty congrats old boy.. so you bought a remote then?? me too havin a bit of fun.. mind you ya flatten the battery pretty quickly
