Thank you very much for your helpful and constructive criticism. This remark in itself will help me improve my work dramatically. I will refer the people who usually buy my photography to you and your keen eye for much better work.

No, I can't smile. It is ugly and without any jocularity. Pity. Laura

Great timing in freezing the horse's mouth & the clouds making it appear like steam coming out. Nice one Aernout & thanks much for the comment to my image, best wishes.

No problem my friend. I finally had to break down and buy a LCD flat monitor for a better res. You are very correct, because every screen is a bit differant...

Nice indeed, especialy the cropping. It could be this screen (work PC is different from the one at home)but both pictures do come cross as a bit pixelly... Thanks for your time.

Aerhout,
Noise: Is a bit of unwanted dirt, speckles and such... No worries my friend, I get the same thing when I use my Konica Minolta film scanner...
With the computer we can reduce the noise to a minimum. See if you like the corrected photo below? Just cleaned up a bit?

noise? What do you mean? It is a very old scan of an even older picture. Don't even know where I have the negative...

Aernout,
I do like your clouds a bit better than my granite map, but I would like to see the noise removed from your photo?
Well done my friend,
Martin

No thank you. :) I can sort of see the dark sky work, but I loved the way the clouds in the original almost looked like fumes from the horse's nostrils.

Hilarious! From the thumbnail I had no idea what I was looking at, so this was a real surprise. I like the odd distortions of the angle-- the way the horse's neck seems so thin, and the incredible detail in the horse's mouth . I also like the presence of the other horse-- like a footnote to the trumpeting power of the main horse.
