Aernout,

You are most welcome my friend. I do understand what your saying regarding the PS programs. It took me 1? years of research to even consider a digital camera. Up until 3 months ago I would have never used PS on anything, but now I can?t say that? I just love the Canon 20D and PS... It's clean and quick...

You may have noticed most of my equipment is at least 20 years old, or more? I just love the vintage stuff and the Canon 20D is the only new camera equipment I own? For a prosumer camera I believe it was the best at the time, but Canon just came out with the 5D with is much better than the 20D, but it?s still not a Pro camera.

That is the problem with going digital, because in 6 months to a 1-year you own an out dated piece of equipment? lol ? That?s not so with my old beauties, as they just keep getting worth more everyday? Yes!

The only concern I have regarding the Big Brother of the 20D is that it?s not compatible with the EF-S lens series that they come out with just for the 20D? What a disappointment, because I only have 2 Canon lenses and they both are EF-S models? $1100.00 down the tubes regarding that glass if I go to the 5D, but I don?t think I?ll have to worry about that considering the 5D body is $3299.00 wholesale price? Damn! Although at 12.8 mega pixels I think for the price it?s not too terribly bad considering the medium format Hasselblad digital yielding 21 mega pixels which starts @ around $21,000.00? Whoa!

Any advice you have on my mechanics is welcome anytime. I am just a novice with enough equipment to give it a go, but I must learn a lot 1st? As you probably noticed, my 1st attempt shooting in my new home studio sucked big time, but I did learn a great deal regarding lighting? lol ? I now have $650.00 worth of new lighting equipment, that I must get rid of? Ahhhh! I will keep the stands, umbrellas, and ect? I just need 2, or 3 new heads? Any and all advice you may have regarding the studio lighting would be greatly appreciated?

Marty

Martin, Much better indeed. Thank you very much. If I get round to scanning some new images, I will try and pay some more attention to ding a decent job. I might (MIGHT!) just even try some of those icky new PS-thingeys ;). Thanks!

Aerhout,

Wonderful capture my friend. I just cropped the top to get the film tracking advance holes out of the photo? Also I made it a bit less grainy, or reduced the noise, which ever you prefer?

Well done my friend,

Martin

its a good shot, though it needs cleaning up (spots and scratches)
it could also use some contrast to pump it up, it seems to ...flat
