About Took this around 2am on Monday morning. In front of me (behind the camera) was the San Francisco Bay and city skyline. If this image were to continue to the right you'd see a very close shot of the Golden Gate bridge. But... those photos will have to wait another day. This was a fun shot to take except staying still in the cold was a challenge.

Jim,

An idea would be to flash a strobe at the foreground subject during the exposure and then getting out of the frame. Then you don't have to sit motionless for the whole exposure.

It looks like Gemini with Saturn in the star trails.

Great idea Jim and so very well excecuted. Nice to meet you this way. Excellent exposure and beautiful movement in the stars due to long exposure time. How long did you have to sit still for this shot Jim....Best regards Harry

Judging by the trail of the stars, you probably had to sit still for a long time. Really appreciate your interest and passion for photography.....I mean I haven't seen 2.00 a.m in ages let alone be up and about toting a camera :-) regards Mathew.
