A very good landscape with nice 'squares' and good lighting. Good colors even in long distance!

Well thank you so much Rebecca but I do think a lot of the credit goes to Mr Nikon aka my 4th son.

Can you see the windmill though - do you have those in Kansas (mental note to get window seat next time i fly) On this flight I HAD the window seat. Youngest didnt have his in seat entertainment working so Mum being a kind person switched seats - and he drew the shades! Anyway I made inroads into a great book "Cold Mountain" on the journey.

Excellent shot to be taken from the window of a plane, very sharp image, congrats. I can't help but compare the difference between this and an aerial view of my home state of Kansas with the straight line checker board treeless plain broken up only by occasional irrigation circles. Nostalgia is a funny thing. You might be surprised to know my mother would have said, "well, nice but sure can't compare to Ks. can it?" Not sure what Dorothy would have said.

Den - thanks for the comments. It is human nature to aspire to other things and to miss those we dont have any more- I totally agree with you. Thanks for the lovely photos you post I enjoy them a lot!

The grass is always greener on the other side Gabrielle. We always yearn for what we have not. We're fortunate that we live in this technological age whereby thanks to the likes of Usefilm and it's members, images of those distant places that we miss are brought to us regularly. Nice pic of the English sprawling countryside with the random pattern of the fields. Great exposure thru an airplane window. That's so difficult!!! Den

Lovely aerial view of an English countryside. You can always look back but once left, "you can never go home again." I am on my second try at it.
