This is the Main entrance from belle isle to the Detroit boat club, at one time it was completely surrounded by a moat.
This is my first attempt at a ?series?? my objective is to create an interesting and photographically consistent style (black and white with a macro type feel) as well as focusing on titles and descriptions to gain more impact. I thought the Detroit yacht club was interesting enough. I welcome any comments good or bad, ~Mike

This is a very ice series of shots. I think I like this one the best. It captures the sadness of the decay. You have enhanced this by use of monochrome and shooting on a dull day.
Places like this fascinate me. I'm assuming that it is closed? Obviously, it is not getting the attention that it once did.....and that is specifically what is so intriguing about these places. To know what it once was, what it once had....and what it has become. To imagine the fun, the significance, the status that it enjoyed. And now, at least based on this perspective....where it is today. You selected an awesome vantage point to take this shot. Great detail, wonderful tones! I'm glad to see you immerse yourself in a project that is important to YOU. Let others taste the ambiance, and swim around, if their imagination is fertile enough. .Brad
In your series your tones and exposure have stayed consistant. I like the composition and good clarity of this shot. Now I'll get in trouble, the image I haven't commented on appears to me to be to busy, tones and clarity are very good though.
