I think this is a really nice shot and it is well composed. I like the little details like the shadows of lines on the ground. Maybe you could use a bit more depth of field?

I love this photo. The buildings somehow remind me of the fishing villages in Prince Edward Island. I love the bright colours. I look forward to seeing the new photos of this subject. Thanks!

John, Thank for the suggestion and comment. I think I?m going to hit the next shot from behind the houses from the beach but use a zoom from the far end like you suggested. I agree with you about the distractions in this shot, you?re absolutely right. It was hard to find a clean angle and it looks like too much work to ps out the chair and utility sheds. This was just a driveby shooting. I?m going to spend some time there next time and find the best vantage point. ~Mike

Try thinking about where the shadows will be at different times of the day on that visit. Then reallize the shadows give you a second spectrum to add in. Consider shooting with a telephoto from the blue side and not even going above the roofs much. Rip out the light poles, pull down the utility sheds move the chair or try to find a perspective that either uses them or looses them. Good luck and post the result. - JB

Wonderful shapes and colours here. I think you should keep all the houses as they provide a full spectrum from red through to blue. I would perhaps try to find an angle where you lose the parking lot, the shadow and the trees, though. AJ

Colorful shot.Taken as is the light is good, parking lot acts as an arrow head that points to start here and then the sidewalk leads you in.Good perspective. In the fall I would be concerned about the leaves on the trees darkening the right side of the shot.
