Michael,
This is a really nice photograph. It has really strong leading line, great depth of field and colors. However it is the deer that really puts this photo over the top for me and makes it great. Even without the deer it is still a good photograph. Great capture of this image!

Oh...this is gorgeous! I see I'm not alone in my thinking as it is highly rated. Really excellent use of DOF, and so rich in color and tone. Beautiful composition. Hang it prominently! It's in my favorites too. :) Antonia

Wow..... Michael, you must have sat and waited for some time, before getting this kind of opportunity! Way to be patient! And if it happened quickly....way to be lucky! This shot is so rich...beautifully exposed, juicy rich colors, and a mood that is awesome. I can hear the crickets chirping, and smell that late summer air. This is really great..and perfectly framed. ...Brad

Excellent capture, the composition is top notch, especially with the time you had to get this shot off. Love the tracks leading off into the distance as well. Great shot, into my favs!

Joe, I got lucky when I seen this shot, that?s for sure. My camera was in the back seat and that buck was about 50 yards or so, when I seen him I grabbed the camera, swapped out my lens, set it to auto white balance and 1600 ISO, matrix metering and program auto mode.. It seems to me that I did all that in about 10 seconds or less and he was still there.. Thanks for the comment and rating.. ~Mike

Paul, I guess I was pretty nervous but not as nervous as that young buck looking at me. Thank you so much for the comment/rating and favorite, that means a lot to me. I think I?ll be printing this one out, I just need to find a good place to hang it. ~Mike

Awesome!!! Talk about being in the right place at the right time, and to have a camera in your hand. That never happens to me.
Great shot, that would make a great poster, calendar or on the cover of a hunting magazine.
