(What a great way to chat :-) )
Sorry if i spoiled the romance but this is the psychoanalytic explaination and science always spoiled romance. But don't forget that people don't have to know that. It is like giving beauty to a beauty and for people in love....well, why should it be otherwise? :-)

and I thought it is a simple gesture when a man gives a woman flowers...I see this to spoil the woman, to make her to feel the centre of the universe, to show her how much u apreciate her, to give a beauty to a beauty etc I didn`t think at what u`ve said!!!

Well you're one of the few !!! I cannot distinguish them apart as also many people don't.My point is that a child in his begining of life is not pure male or pure female. It's something in between and that is the reason for women to have some male characteristics later in life and vise versa. So,men like flowers cause it symbolises something that had and lost it and only women have it (so they wish to acquire women) and women like flowers as a sign of self appreciation and recognition of their sexuality (got it why women like flowers given by men???).

I think yes, why men cannot figure it out this thing?

When you see a new born child, without telling you, can you understand if it's a boy or a girl???

You are so right!!! but I saw many men that took shots of flowes in the same way i did and I saw also a lot of men that have the same sensibility as women have!!!

Dear Cris
Lately i had pretty much the same conversation with another user. What i mean about symbolism is that due to the fact that literature and photography are basicly the most powerful means of symbolism, a photography is always opened to many interpretations. Some of these symbols are inherited to us by our distand past, it's a common base of all human kind.An example of this common inheritage are some kind of dreams found common on all people regardless where they grew up. As for flowers, besides theis role as decorating ornament (which denotes beauty) it's a well defined symbol of female sexuality and reproduction organ. (try to remember how did older people try to explain us when we were young the act of sexual intercourse. Didn't they use the example of the little bee that was going from flower to flower?)
Regards, Pan.

Now that we've already met on these pages, I think it's time to do away with formailties. I, as you already know, am Rafi and unless you object, I'll refer to you as Cristina. That's a wonderful tulip you captured here, well composed with stunning colors and the stamina standing out like soldiers at attention. Thank you for your friendly comment on my "Tower in the sea." Best regards, Rafi
