Thanks Tiff - glad I took as many shots as I did of those Mother's Day flowers - they sure don't last long. Do have another shot or two I can take of that Stargazer that was unfolding - it is open now, and the star petals are a little different than the other ones. Jan

Peta - thank you again. Before Rob left yesterday he gave me a down-and-dirty lesson on how to use his Sigma and left it here for me to "play" with. Kind of a try before you buy an upgraded camera from the little Cybershot one that I am using. He would like to see me "graduate" to a SLR - just need to find one that won't take me years to learn how to use and will fit a non-professional type photographer. So I am searching. The Sigma is heavy and has all sorts of whistles and bells that I probably don't need - but who knows; I could become the next Grandma Moses only with a camera. LOL Jan

You're welcome Janice...thats right, I played with the contrast and pumped up the saturation! I love vibrant colours, so I often find myself pushing the saturation as far as possible! Keep clicking : )

Thanks Mary for your comments. The way I do signature is easy - Tiffany will have to tell you how to do an actual signature or you can go to myjanee.com/tuts/brush/cbrush7.htm and that instructs on doing an actual signature. OK in PS7, once you have your frame on, go to the foreground color in the tool bar and choose what color you want for title and signature. Then go to the 'T' (for text) icon and select. Make sure you have chosen the font you want to use. In the frame (works putting it right onto the picture without a frame too.) take the cursor, and holding down the left button on your mouse, do a little box. Let go of the mouse button and type in your name or whatever. You can resize the box with the little handles top and bottom. When finished, up on the top menu bar you will see a little check more. Click that once and the box around your signature will disappear. I am sure there is probably an easier way to do this - but haven't gotten that far in my learning yet. PS send me your home e-mail and we can chat further. Jan

This and your 'heart of the matter' are wonderful. Very pretty and great detail. Mary Janice, can I ask you how you get your signature on your pictures?

Peta - that looks great. Now from what I have been learning how to do...You flipped it, cropped it so that the focus is on the center area and looks like you might have sharpened and played with brightness/contrast and color a little. Is that right? Well, the flower sure does have more impact now. Thank you for taking the time to do this and to comment. Each photo I see on usefilm and each comment I read is a learning experience for me. Jan
