Again it is that excellent light of exposure and the amazing clarity of details, and thus a BIP, Dave! But in addition it is the excellent moment that you chose to shot, when the expression of man make us understand that he is looking to something - perhaps talking with somebody, and this in such a peaceful manner considering his situation!

Congratulation for awards Dave! Actually I was wondering why UF administrations don’t choose a street or a people photo for awards. I am happy I was wrong. It is nice shot with marvellous definition. The image is really ideal; it does not need any comment. It tells self everything.

This is great Dave, I don't see anything wrong with it, my eye goes straight to the man and then to the dog, nice angle with their heads, nothing to distract, the tones are very good, nice light and composition. It seems a rather serene mood for both, especially with the dogs head down, and maybe not a lot to look forward too, very nicely captured!!

Although this is a CC image, I find nothing to nitpick about. The thick rope around the dog´s neck was the first thing that caught my attention. Poor dog! Very good tonal range, and a touching image ...

Lovely, Dave & typical for all big cities beggars especially in Paris. Quite a coincidence that both our photos were taken in Paris. http://www.usefilm.com/Image.asp?ID=804678
To take this photo in Paris a long time ago, I had to pay the beggar. Unfortunately at that time I was P.S. crazy & seem to have spoiled the effect.

This is an excellent candid study of a Parsienne beggar and his (un)willing accomplice. I love how you have captured the dog looking at the day's meagre take wondering what scraps it will get and if it is likely to get any useful excercise and doggy fun. Well done to you Dave for an excellent photographic opportunity well spotted and composed.
An all to familiar sight my dear friend and though I have a soft heart for people in a less fortunate position to myself I feel anger at times when an animal is used to elicit sympathy from passers by. I have on a couple of occasions donated tins of dogfood rather than cash. My very best wishes to you as always......Ray

Interesting that some see sadness.. here I pick up on the freedom... funny some people choose to live on the streets & to be honest I guess sometimes I don't blame them... though it's the winter that brings out the sadness in me. Great candid and looks very good in b&w. The dog looks more depressed than the man. Judging by the vest the man has on, he could be a down and out photographer. It also looks like a shot you could see on some downtown street corners here. Well done.
