About	Location: Feshiebridge, Cairngorm, Scotland. A birchwood meadow, damp and dripping with lichen has a stunning range of muted colours at opposite ends of the spectrum. Live birch twigs collectively have a magenta hue but the lichen provides a complementary coat of grey green. When the last rays of amber sunlight painted the backdrop of pine trees, the whole place was a riot of colour. Translating this scene from three dimensions to two is extremely difficult but I am never-the-less quite pleased with the confused tangle of colour I recorded.

Beautiful tonality...Love the pastels! Almost looks like a face staring at you in the wood. Lovely peaceful colors to get lost in. Lucky you to get to spend time photographing this exquisite part of the world.

Ian! this is masterpiece ... i love looking at it so natural :)

try B&W or sepia and play it around ... will become classic or try painting like stype ... do something with it

Beautiful lighting on the background, Ian, exposing that wonderfully coloured woodland. It's a brilliant contrast with the excellent detail and muted colours of the foreground. Very well seen and executed shot!
