About A while ago, I posted a version of this picture, which had some swimmers and buoys in the water. At the suggestion of some, I cloned those out of this shot. This storm was approaching across the water and I was trying to catch the lightning. Unfortunately, I never succeeded, but I have about 20 similar shots.

Very nice lighting on this photo. Certainly does justice to the title. Nice lines in the colors, makes it look rather like an abstract.

Simple composition and absolutely brilliant colors make this really wonderful, Petra. The way you have such nice detail in the sky, the blue water and the sand gives each element it own distinctive feel and texture. I have to admit I agree with Vincent about the surf. It does appear to be a bit blown out, so I hope that the original detail isn't lost. Resurrect that detail in the surf and I'd said this is EC material. It might be anyway.

A nice contrast in colors. The turquoise waters stand out nicely against the dark clouds. The white water is a bit hot, meaning there should be some detail in it. If it is in the original, then the problem is with the scan itself. If there is no detail in the original, then not much you can do about it. Still, a very nice capture! (8

I adjusted the contrast in Photo Impact. Adjusting the levels took the deep colors away for some reason. On another site some people thought I'd faked the whole thing in Photoshop, but I can guarantee everyone, this was the real view. Caribbean storms and the color of the water are really spectacular. Turks and Caicos, where this picture was taken, had the most beautiful white beaches with turkoise water I've ever seen and the contrast with the sky made it even more beautiful.

Did you adjust the levels in PS? The water looks spectacular against the dark sky!
