Hi Roger. You did a lot of work. However, it paid off, your result is really good. It is more than acceptable--it is very pretty. The colours are very beautiful and not brought past the point of reality. I like that. MAry P.S. I'll try to get something going in the next while in terms of pictures. Tahnks for asking.

I'll "fess up" to you, Mary. This was taken early in the morning, with reddish dawn light and very unsaturated colours. I had to play with white colour balance and then work out what colours to emphasize when boosting saturation, not to mention adding a deeper blue to that rather peculiar sky. It was a lot of trouble, and at first I wasn't too happy with the result, but now I've got a step or two back from it I think it looks quite acceptable (as some others have also kindly said).
When are we going to see more of YOUR photos?

The colours are so beautiful. Wisteria is so pretty the way it hangs around. Your perspective for this shot is great. Someone puts a lot of work into keeping this looking as it does. Mary

There are so many different colours of this beautiful plant Roger, I would have been content with it without reading of your dis-satisfaction of the colours. I love the diagonal approach to your composition and for me the colours look wonderful...Best wishes,'see' you soon....Ray

This has a beautiful painterly quality to it Roger. I think the colors are very pretty, and it's best viewed at the large setting. Best wishes, Susie

Ah, Cessy, I wish it were my garden! But you have to be a millionaire to have a garden like this in Tokyo... Thanks for your visit. I miss your pictures even more than your encouraging comments!

OK so maybe the sky isn't all it could be but the flowers themselves are gorgeous draping ever so elegantly from the vine like bunches of grapes. The colour of the flowers is wonderful and the composition you've used to capture them really shows them in all their magnificent glory. A beautiful image Roger.
Cheers - Ann :)
