Christopher,

Thank-you. FYI this weekend I guess I time it just right they had a big home coming for the 11th ACR out here...so I did a little shooting, but didn't get really anything worth posting...but it was still really cool to go to...they had free concerts and stuff...on a different note...I"m sorry for not writing back sooner...I'm still in the process of settling in after the move...Again Thank-you.

Best Wishes,
Chuck

I like the way you've caught her making the gesture with her arms Chuck, it really adds to the shot. The people in costumes with the signs against the backdrop of the Capitol building is perfect. Maybe a fill flash would have worked here, too. I know though, it's hard to think of all these things at the moment in time!
Dave.

Out of all the four posting, I like this image the best, it's a very powerful image.

First of all I love that you included the capital, it gives the image a powerful punch, and secondly you have captured an excellent expression from the Congresswomen, with her arms wide open, you can really feel her speech reaching out to you.

I would have to agree with Hugo about your suject blending in with the crowd, maybe a shallower DOF would have work.

Well done Chuck

Hi Johancharles, Very solid reportive photo, capturing the scene and including a reference to it's location by including the capitol. It's what, IMO, makes for a great journalistic photo.

I'm thinking how you could've placed more emphasis on the primary subject in this photo, though, as she seems to blend in with the crowd a bit too much.

I think it's difficult to prevent, as it's mainly the angle of the light that is "at fault" here; it creates a rather low contrasty scene. Perhaps playing with the levels a bit more in the post processing, but that's about it.

Cheers,

Hugo
