About This one was taken while I was out only with my macro lens and my 18-200mm lens @ Coyote Hills. I wasn't expecting to take any bird photos. I noticed this bird circling but did not pay attention to him. When I looked up, I saw the bird getting ready to make a dive. I've never heard of any "bird attacks" but this one appeared to be on the attack. I was able to take several shots, but the lens was just not too fast for this guy. He eventually pulled up. I got this shot sort off sharp, the others were blurry.

I'm not sure the species of bird this is, but it appears to be a hawk.

Great capture again Jinggoy . . . and from a very unique perspective! LoL! The black frame is far to heavy for my personal taste, but that's a critique of the presentation and not the image. The image is spot on!

Hi Dave, thanks, I felt that I had to get ready to swing my camera just in case. He really did come close, I posted a shot of him @ 200mm uncropped (but it was blurred), my all around zoom lens wasn't as fast.

Thanks Yamil! He finally did pull up, here's a shot of him, uncropped @ 200mm (blurred), I couldn't get the camera to focus as quickly. He was really on a fast dive. So I wonder, was he really going to attack?

Great capture. Thanks for the ident, Yamil. Never seen one from this angle before, must have had a nest on the ground, close by. They do normally hunt like this as well, about 6' off the ground looking for rodents.

Hi Jingoy,
Excellent shot of this male Northern Harrier (Circus cyaneus).
Great details and nice dof.
That view is one of the best that I have seen.
Keep up the good job.
Yamil
