About This was the set for the movie 'Sometimes A Great Notion' ( 1971) staring Henry Fonda, Paul Newman, Lee Remick , +Michael Sarrazin > about a logging family and the drama of their hardships. It was a fishing lodge temporarily after that. . but with the Slanting of the roof. . . I don't think much goes on , altho I haven't been over there for decades.

oh, michele, i get it. i didn't know that the HOUSE was slanting in real life. i'd let it stand, then. maybe put in your comments a little more clearly about that. :)

yes, i try not to do too much to my photos - crop, straighten if i have to. it is always a learning experience!

The house itself is falling . . . so this is my dilema. should I change the real picture to make it better, or leave as it is?
Thank You for asking and looking.????????

I must agree jessie . . the straightening does make it a better picture. I think my dilema was should i show 'what it is' ? or to make it just a better picture? Oh my so many questions . . ha! thankyou so much for your time and to view my pictures. I agree with the cropping which is also a new feature for me too . you are a kind and generous photographer.
ThankYou,
Michele~

michele - i have learned from others here on usefilm that if you correct the slant, the photo is much better (usually). here is one correction that i tried - i just used the picasa straighten function. another thing i've learned here, that i try to play around with a LOT, is to crop some things better. i used to put the photo up, but now i am trying a lot more cropping to see how it looks. many of my photos are cropped. gets rid of side things (trees, etc) that don't make the photo look its best.

here's the house, straightened. what do you think?

Thank you again jessie. I have been told about picasa and I will do this. One question I am not clear on. Is it the house being slanted that needs straightening ?
I mean I know it does, but is this what it is? do you suggest this as others have to make a better picture? Or is it something else ? I know it looks wierd and hesitated to include it as it is, but this is how we learn .
thank you for your time and information.
Michele~

Thank You omnia altho I am not sure what you mean by rotation. Fixing of the house from slanting? I would want this too. My question is by contractors , or should I be able to do this with a camera program ?
Thank You Again,
Michele~
