I'd point the camera lower to introduce a bit of space between the bottom of the fire hydrant and the bottom of the picture, but other than that, I think this photo is wonderful. The subject, the composition, the toning are all very good.

I think this is rated WAY too low, in my opinion. The composition is killer (i.e., great), especially with the placement of the fire escape along the left-hand edge. Details are really nice, as is the contrast. Walker Evans would dig this photo a lot. Great work.
