What drew me to this shot in the first place was the crop - very brave and very appropriate imo - it somehow balances the negative space above her head and emphasizes detail in her face. The crop nipped a little into her lip which is regretful. I don't mind the harshness it lends a strange smoothness which I like...

Thanks for the comments.
The light is harsh, because it was midday and in Italy the sun is very strong. Khrome film is a slide film.
