City - Hylton Castle, near Sunderland State - TYNE & WEAR Country - United Kingdom
About
This young man was playing with his friends(being looked after I believe by his father) when he came up to me whilst I was taken photo's at Hylton Castle near Sunderland, Tyne & Wear, asking inquisitive questions, what I was doing, why e.t.c. After telling him what, why, e.t.c, he asked if I could take his photo and he quickly sat down, I took his photo and jokingly told him it may be posted on the internet, his face lit up with joy.I just had to put in on usefilm to keep a promise, He was a pleasure and joy to talk to and so happy. So if anyone recognises him from the Hylton Castle area near Sunderland, say hello and let him know where you saw his photo.
Bless.. is that not like the pot calling the kettle black? Anyway... lovely photo... I usually don't like children posing but this... well... you can see his 'cheeky' nature. Bet you've made his day now (& he made yours) ... nice one x
if you think I am going anywhere near Blunderland you are mistaken but never the less this is a teriffic image although i don't know what he has to smile about. Unless of course he was laughing at the photographer.
Both the image and story are top notch. I've often felt that otherwise great images suffer from lack of written detail. It never has to be much, for the narrative should not obstruct the image. Well done!!!
I totally agree with you Rashed, I was concentrating more on the castle, than on this young man and he deserved more of my time, but as I say he was playing with friends running around and sat down unexpectedly and asked me to take his photo, It was just a snap shot but I should have taking more care.
This is a wonderful portrait we have and very pleasant young man with very impresive smile on his face, I really like this image and if just the right foot shoes was captured in full ,this image would deserve an award.
