hi michele - these kite boarders are crazy, aren't they?? great shot - two of them in such close proximity - can't you just think of them tangling lines? yikes!!
the sky looks so grainy...
but the colors - so blue!!

Well, You did say that the wind was stronger, and the waves were bigger than usual. Putting those physical facts together, it's not surprising that the poor guy would be up there lol. Did you manage to see my attachment?

Nice shot Michele,
It's not just the bigger lens one needs, but a good waterproof covering for your camera too. So as to protect it from the salty sea spray and the sand, believe me, it gets EVERYWHERE and is NOT camera friendly. I took the shot below with a Sigma 50 - 200mm lens, and the sand gave me a few problems with my lens for quite a while. I've seen there are special bags one can buy for such occasions.
