WOW! Cool, thank you, all!
I posted this shot and had one reply from my friend Joel and never looked back. I left the next morning for 5 days of shooting in San Francisco, but did not check in to see where this shot went.
I will try to post photographs from SF over the next week; I only walked away with about 70 good ones... I hope....
Cheers, and thanks again.

Wow.. all in camera-RAW... in teh words of Vader, "Impressive".
I did like the lone window lighting...very cool color shot. And yes, I can feel the 'Hopper' in it. Would also be a great place to shoot at magic hour when the shadows are long, and sunlight is warm.
This image is pretty awesome, even coming back to it to respond to your mssg.. it's very solid. I even posted it in the members forum for a possible award.
OH yeah.. the Buckeye.. nice dry martini...porterhouse cut. oh yeah. And there's nothing better thatn that 101 exit that collects rear-end accidents like fly paper. good times.
hope all is well! keep up the good work!
cheers, -Joel

Hello Joel,
Sweet Jesus, Mary and Joseph, you really do know how to sweet talk a girl! Thank you for your critique full of warm fuzzies.
I created this image and many others over the past summer, but have been remiss in posting many of them.
I have been playing a lot, AND restricting all of my processing to Camera Raw. This tint and lighting style is something I have been trying to achieve (my own trail of tears), and have now just touched on it; a work in progress.
Actually, I have three styles I am working on; this Medium Format & Cross Process feeling, a Edward Hopper feeling, I went for it here, http://www.usefilm.com/Image.asp?ID=1196375 , and Vermeer's "lone window" lighting.
I hope to post these new works soon and have the time to immerse myself into my friends on usefilm new images.
Cheers and thanks again, Johnny
BTW, do you ever step into the Buckeye Roadhouse? I miss sitting at the bar while waiting for CHP to scrape a wreck off the 101; I enjoyed many glasses of wine and dinners there.

Howdy John,
Very nice addition to your portfolio. I like this little series you posted. This one, by far, is the stand out of the 4 images. There's a wonder to this one, and a fantastic balance in line, and shape. The contrast is very nice, and plays very well with the retro width white frame that punches the vignette into the image. Just that little touch give this the feel that you were there for hours setting this image up with a medium format camera that had too much film for the lens. Very nice touch!
The blue sepia works very well with the metal of the lamp post, and sets the contrast back perfectly on the building. Even down to the name of the image (Very Tina Barney!), a perfect image, and very world class! Let's see more!
cheers, and hope all is well!
-Joel
