Sandra, There is a good tutorial on Photoshop you could purchase from the USA if you are interested.
Go to http://www.lynda.com
look for Essential Training Photoshop CS2 and also Photoshop CS Enhancing Digital Photography both are very good.

Thanks Clive - appreciate the tips...have just installed Photoshop so all of it's features are very new...will definitely look at the level and curve functions as it does make a difference.

Sandra, all this image needs is a tweak in an editor if you have one.
I have adjusted this in photoshop using the levels and curve commands.
