Thanks for the comments Maryanne. That's what I thought too. The shot is grossly under exposed thus the golden tone and the clear ice and snow have formed interesting patterns combine to make a nice abstract. Unfortunately the sun ray is blown out but I don't think there is any way around that.

Great shot, nice sun reflection and nice patterns, I almost froze myself to death yesterday too but did come home with a couple of good shots... so no regrets.
