Great picture, focus, DOF and presentation are right on. IMO, I would have tried to brighten the picture just a bit to make the roses stand out more.

welcome, Dan! for this photo i would definitely suggest not using a head-on flash. it seems there are only a few times when such lighting looks good in any shot. try softer lighting from the side or any other angle you'd want! the arrangement/composition looks fine. keep shooting, Dan! (c:,'
