Hi Tom, it's good to see you here!
A lovely shot of this peacock, the only time I was lucky enough to see a white one it wouldn't diplay its tail.... Such is life!

Orton is a technique of using blurred, lighter layers of the same image. Using multiplymode in layers. I masked out the peacock from the blur. Done in PS 7.0
I just read about it last night on flickr.com. Found a link through google, wich leads to youtube.

Nice image - love the clean colours and light. What is the Orton technique? Would like to see a tigher crop on the peacock.

Hi jd, I thought you were here too. Thanks for the comment, and I did consider croping the white sky, but I think it looses a sense of dimension.
