Excellent shot Joe... I am curious of the total size of this bird..It doesn't look so huge as many herons compared to the leaves around it but that is not a good gage for someone who does not know the size of the leaves either..ha! Love the focus, the light right-On the subject... the tones, textures, leaves in the forground and the dof .... an excellent image IMHO - 7/7

Thanks Todd, I like the diagonal branch which goes from side to side without hitting the corners as well as the background. I don't see the busy bokeh in this shot that I have seen on some 2.8 shots. Joe
