About The first blossoms from my plumeria plant since I got it last year. This was challenging to me to try to make this look artistic - anyone have any ideas?

Hi Jeff, thank you so much for the kind comments and the very helpful advise. I will try the technique with the side lighting next time. You have some great ideas! Thanks again, Brigitte :)

Well from a photographic stand point you've got several things going for already. You seem to have a good exposure. The composition is good. When I say that, I mean you try to stick to the rule of thirds in this. To me great contrasting colors, and then to finish it off the vertical lines add another interesting element to look at. I like the way my eyes go through the photo. There's several different things to look at... and different ways to see this. Don't let anyone tell you the lines are a distraction... they are not. The only thing if you really wanted a different look that I would do, is side light it. Wait until the light is low or almost dark and then find a some way to shine light from the side. just remember you may want some sort of a way to reflect some of the light back onto the opposite side. thats really going to depend on how dramatic you want it. I think it looks fine though.
