Super macro shot BUT oh my gosh John I agree with your madness that is one spooky looking spider and I like some spiders ...just because they normally don't hurt us but actually are quite interesting creatures with a job to do... This one would keep me awake at night time worried 
It is a very good shot photographically thou.....

UGGHHHHH!!! Ugly yes, very true, its ugliness appals me :) but indeed a very good shot. And my advice is don't go too close [I wonder how do you gather the courage to go too close to these insects, I can never even dream of doing such a rash act :)].
