About It hasn't the supernatural atmosphere of Richard Adams haunted masterpiece with the same title, but I couldn't think of a better one. And she also appeared from nowhere.

Very diplomatic indeed :)... I thing some things are just a matter of taste.

Hi Sam,

A split second in time that communicates pure pleasure. The expression on the little girl's face is priceless.
I do agree with Urs to a certain extent. The image could benifit from a slight crop. But, not quite as much as Urs suggests because that takes away a little from the theme of appearing from nowhere.
So, I agree with both of you somewhat :) How is that for diplomatic?

Thank you V. It was a difficult decision, to crop or not to crop as I explain in my reply to Urs.

Thank you very much for the much appreciated comment Arthur. As a matter of fact it was pure coincideence that she swung at the right moment.
On the 'crop' issue I already replied to Urs.
But it's a close call.

Thank you for the suggestion Urs, I appreciate your input. As a matter of fact I was tempted to crop it that way too when I was toying around and editing it with Picasa.

But although the crop emphasizes the action, it makes the image very overcrowded in my opinion.
And I also like the composition better as it is.

This is a greatly captured image, and her look is really special, very expressive.
regards,
V.
PS I also agree with Urs in that trim, i think it brings the concentration of the picture in a tighter spot and more focused in the happening.

Excellent. I like the way she "appeared from nowhere". As though you were taking this shot, and she suddenly swung into the frame. Urs's crop does perhaps make it stronger still.

Hi Sam. I like this picture very much the dyinamic in it as you say: She came from nowhwere. Very well seen! To my opinion I would have cropped this picture the way I did it in the attachment, to make this effect even stronger. Best wishes, Urs
