Another one from my "color above everything" period. Rather naive considering the rest of the disciplines like composition, or DoF, I guess, I'd be glad for any comment.

I sometimes downsize images but I don't magnify them above their available resolution. But it's very nice that you ask about sharpness since indeed it's simply not sharply focused except of the center where focus is a bit better. The whole series of these flowers is from my phase of absolute color addiction some years ago. While focusing for this one I just noticed that the lighter spots of yellow had a better color to me when I went considerably out of focus for the most part of it, perhaps because of the special angle/direction/reflection of light in this case. And so I followed my color obsession from that time and used quite a wide aperture for mimimum DoF and as many of the "yellow hot spots" as possible.
