About Please no "Great" or "Excellent" comments. I want to know whether the crop is too extreme. Thanks!

I think the crop looks good. Have you tried lightening and brightening the whites of her eyes so they zing out at you? Regards Marie

It is very effective for emotional impact, but not flattering. Did your subject like it?

I think the crop should be a tad wider, showing all of her hair.

Eric...hmmm. I like it cropped perhaps with just the tiniest bit more off the top and give back just a bit more on her left (our right). OK...free association er somethin...I had a wacky image of this one split straight down the center with one half of her face in color version and one half in black and white. I am weird that way. I like the texture you captured in her hair. I also see this as a fine bookmark. Or on some stationary for her...she just has that look on her face like she just told a secret or is about to....hmmm

I personally like the narrow crop, but the length has given an illusion of a very long, too skinny face.

I know from looking at the original, that she has a narrow face, but I think the extreme crop puts too much emphasis on it.

I think this photo is just TERRIFIC. You should title it Looooong and Narrrrrrow.

Eric, I might be all alone in my view, but to me you could crop it close, but not this close, and have a better end result. I'd like to see more of the top of her head, maybe just a bit above the top of the part in her hair, and a bit more of the sides. Can you maintain the aspect ratio this way?

The detail on her face is soft in the right way, and the attached photo makes it look like there is still detail in the hair.

What was your point of this close crop? It is fine this way, but my personal view is that a bit more of her would make a stronger photo.

:)
