Thank you all for your comments . It WAS so difficult to get a good image without using flash . Perhaps I should have taken a mono-pod but that is hindsight . I was supposed to be enjoying myself . There was only the one window . Shall I post one without flash ?????

Good picture, the shadows due to flash usage are there, but not disturbing I think.

Mavis the lighting is so good on this...you could have had some problems with the window light yet uou captured that without glare and you captured the heated peice of metal and the light was all so even with good color...was this all from the flash? Was there any other light available? This is just excellent

Great 'people' shot! Thank you for sharing the information - you accomplished this very well even with a lot of people around.

Great composition. Not too sure about the flash lighting, but nothing major! Good work!

nice documentary photo of an interesting craft I'm glad you included the ones that were cooling as well as the piece he is currently working on it gives a sense of seeing what he is doing.

very good indoor image like the outside showing through the windows I don't use flash and seems like when I take these kind of images their hands are moving.

Hello again Mavis,
The foreground knotted steel and the glow of the hot metal makes this a nice shot,, I know it would be difficult but I would like to see this without the flash,, the shadows on the anvil stump are a little distracting,,
