Thanks so much Brigitte, The combines were coming down the field as I was driving towards them. Pulled over and waited for the combines to turn and head for the buildings. Took quite a few shots, just like this one. I appreciate the nice comment and I also appreciate your regards, be well, Stan

Stan, this is such a great shot. You got the old ranch buildings in this shot as well as them working the field with the columbines (hope that is what they are called)... it's like the new with the old. And, the composition is just so classic and beautiful. The dust from the farm equipment and the whispy clouds give this such great atmosphere. The exposure is right on the money... and the color & focus could not be any more perfect! 7+++ Hope you are well my friend!

Warm regards,
Brigitte

Hi Marty, Thanks for the good thought's. Just got in from a long weekend. Had nice weather until last night. Got some rain and in the mountains it was trying to snow. Got lucky when I came upon this one. I had hoped to maybe catch them but this was perfect timing. They cut over 400 acres that day.

Hi Harry, survived the weekend with out compromising my moral values. Spent some time in Lewistown, Mt. Played some golf with friends and got some good fishing in. The girls left me alone.

Harry,

Stan is a good boy, but when the girls see his manhood they go crazy.

Heck, when I saw it I ran like a scaled ape... It happened at the hot springs he took me to... I was so frightened I ran all the way to his house and hid under the bed...

hehehe... ROTHFLMAO

Yes, it is worth posting ;-) I see they have enough to bake me a bread this winter .
35 mm at a digital is about 50mm at a 35 mm film so its a nice straight image " as you really see it " .
Behave yourself in the weekend with the girls !

Thanks Gary, some of my recent post have the barn, windmill and a piece of rolling door hardware from this building. I know one of the combine operators and wanted to get a good picture to give to him for Christmas. Thanks for your encouragement!

Good Morning Mitra, how are you? Glad you liked this. I was on my way to town and saw my friend out harvesting and wanted to catch him working. The cut over 300 acres yesterday. I saw him unloading the wheat in a truck last night and talked to him. He said the the hail damage had knocked a lot of wheat of the stalks. Thanks for your sunshine and cheer my dear.
Be well, Stan

Well composed Stan, a typical view from the wheat belt. That old barn looks good for a few closeups in mono, if you haven't already!
Regards, Gary
