About The wind and snow had sculpted this great pattern on top of a handrail on a job I was working on. Thought it was curvy enough to meet the new projects criteria. Be well, stan

Hi Stan,
I'm in the suburbs of Toronto. I have the good fortune to be living just walking distance from the Rouge Valley Conservation area East of Toronto. A lot of my Wildlife images have been taken within about a 20k radius of Toronto, or in the Madawaska Valley about 185 miles north east of Toronto (where we have a family summer cottage)
I'm a Tool & Die Maker by trade. But my position has changed many times over the last few years. Currently, I'm doing a lot of interesting work for our Global Automotive Lighting Division at Tyco Electronics ULC. We are working on prototype lighting for cars for the 2016 model year.
Talk to you later.

Hi Andre, we had a tornado tear up a convention center in Billings and some homes there. That is about 110KL from where I live. We had snow on the 11th of June. Been a crazy year. Which city are you in or near in Canada? What kind of work? Have a good week.

Hi Stan,
Yeah, we are getting some really strange weather here lately too. Lots of rain and even a few tornados touched down last week. Not to mention a 5.5 earthquake thrown in (it shook my computer screen at work)

That's funny Andre, was 33+ here today too!! I played golf in a Pro-Am event. Felt good on my old bones!! We just warmed up this week, been a wet and cold eternal spring. Should be a couple of months of the summer and road construction here in MT. Like you work and style my friend!!

On a 33C day like today, I miss this kind of scene. But not for long. :)

Hi Judson, this was a fun sight to get to work and see what the wind and snow had created. Snow is always a challenge for white balance. Thanks for the good vibes!!

I sure do hope we can stay out of the tornadoes this year, damage is all we don't need. Stan I hope you have a great memorial Day to.

Birds of prey have a rule of thumb when you get to close. Long lenses and good cover are about the only way to put the sneak on them. Sometimes I look for nesting birds early in the spring and then try to set up a blind or cover to shoot my pictures from. Out of sight, out of mind. Just fun to see them fly and soar around my area. Hope the twisters leave you alone these days. I saw where some tornadoes had ripped through Oklahoma lately.

Stan you are welcome, I would like to get some shots of the bald eagles, a lady told me where I would go and set and want for them, but just haven't had the time to go and want. I have been trying to get a hawk, but they are hard to see now that all the trees are all leafed out, maybe I will have a better chance next winter, and it is hard to drive and get a good picture, they fly off so fast. good luck. Thanks Barbara, yes I get some interesting shots over the course of the seasons. I never have gotten any good ones of the northern lights but will before much longer. Have been getting some shots of a pair of Bald Eagles nesting across the creek from me. Love those big birds!!

WOW, You are so lucky to be able to see the northern lights, If I could see them it would work out for me, I stay up late any ways, but a nape in the afternoon helps, I guess you get a lot of great pictures. BK

Yes Barbara, I see the Northern lights almost every year. Usually in the summer and sometimes in the fall. It can be an incredible sight. Just have to stay up very late to see them. They come and go with no announcement. Where I live there are no street lights or development so the sky is very easy to watch without any excessive distractions. It is really Big Sky country on a clear moonless night.

Thanks so much Barbara. This was at a house I was building at 9000 feet near Big Sky, Mt. The weather can create many fun sights here in South Western Montana.

Yes Ania, I agree it has a similarity to a scarf, the wind had really sculpted the snow that day. Hope all is well!

Thanks so much Radovan, I had thought of even cropping tighter but liked the pov from the shade to the light of the snowy wave. Winter is leaving here and the spring birds are returning for the summer.
