About A pale and sensitive skin simply needs some tanning. Let's try slight overexposure :-)
Most likely she will be smiling again very soon where Summer continues ...

excellent

Glad you liked her expression here dear Ania even that she did not like photographer's expression :-)
The very interesting effect of grain you notice is some challenge you probably do not have with a D300. If using highest sensitivity 400, 800 or 1600 with low light I cannot avoid "the grain effect" better known as noise. Using RAW does somewhat better than JPG format but today I know what I can expect and create with my FZ50. It seems that CMOS technology has progressed last few months for last models of Lumix bridge cameras.
Hugs from Paul

Thank you for your kind comment Julie. Her expression was as good as her paintings :-)
At least she delivered an unusual expression, nice tones and a remarkable experience for both of us.
Big hug from Paul

Dear Michele, I didn't yet answer your question. I did not yet say to you ... that I didn't say anything to her :-) She, a painter in front of her wirk, was just surprised and looked at me with a fearful somewhat angry look when I made this picture.
hugs and kisses,
Paul

Hi Mitra, thanks for your visit and comment. You were right. I was not the ideal client for her making a picture at first approach. I didn't say any word. I can tell you thousand stories about Customer Service staff, failing in delivering service but here I think she was just surprised with a natural fear as first reaction.
hugs from Paul

gros bisous,
Paul

You're absloutely right Paul. I wouldn't buy from her either. No Smile No Sale. She should go back and learn the first rule in "Customer Service". :))

Hi Luca, thank you for your comment. It is technically hard to make a good picture of human interactions given the fact that all factors should be decided and adapted in less than a second.
best regards,
Paul

Thank you Aziz, indeed a candid, as I like to challenge people and learn occasionally from reactions how the human species functions :-)

Indeed Harry, thanks for your advice. She is an artist anyway and plays her role so brilliantly.

Hi Michelle, I said something which I hope was right for getting the best picture. It was not insulting however. I'm sure that people are all so different. How their reaction finally will be after being surprised by a camera may differ from an invitation for dinner to .. indeed "breaking my camera", calling the police or even confronting me with a muscled boyfriend :-)
hugs and kisses,
Paul

Thank you Ali. Shocking or not? Angriness has its charm and after the right picture moment I could always still work on improving the relationship :-)
best regards,

Some sort of Coco Chanel indeed, at least she is an artist trying to sell her paintings. She would have smiled in offering to buy some of her work.
I bought some painting but from somebody else that day.
hugs from Paul

True Arif. She was surprised and in her case that was a defensive disliking mode. Would have preferred a smile but that also would have spoiled the picture :-)
best regards,
Paul

Its more like you caught her by surprise. Must be a bad hair day. Still she could look like a moviestar given the right conditions. She is pretty Paul, admit it.

Wonderful shot my dear Paul - but I do think that You have said something wrong :)) This lady looks as if she has been sort of 'insulted' ...maybe ?

She appears to be a very classy lady in front of these advertisement of dresses - so she might break your camera next time - just teasing you know :))
great shot - excellent candid street shot !!! I love it ! 7/7
