One of the best images I've seen in a long while!

Well done Ted :-)

Is this on a glass plate? The effect is amazing, and the image itself is really great!

Although I really like the idea here as well as the toning. I have a problem with the framing. I think the crop is too tight at the bottom whilst much space is left in the top. I find that a bit uncomfortable to look at. Maybe a bit grain would be nice too. Where did you say you hire models that look like butterflies?

Regards,
Julien

Ethereal...
I love the tones and the dream-like ambience. She looks so fragile with her arms like that!...

beautiful, beutiful photo, Ted!

Definitely an inspiration, you definitely nailed down a dreamy/hazy vision here. True you could make it mushier but then you're just into obvious soft filter sears photo territory, a perfect level of blur and focus meets up here - superb~

The wings are too sharp and slightly too high up.The blurry texturing in the top right corner is distracting.I like the general tone of the background but I think the model herself should be much softer to create some kind of atmosphere- this is a photo of a fairy after all.If you've read Peter Pan you'llknow that an image like this could have a devestating effect on the fairy population!

Thanks.

Gorgeous models? You hire them!

No, I work with a mix of ordinary people and models, depending on my financial state at the time. There are a number of bulletin boards on the web where you can contact fine-art models; once you're in the loop they're pretty easy to find and work with. Treat them with respect and pay them fairly, its usually worth every penny: better work much more efficiently because they know exactly what to do, but ordinary people are fun too.

Very nice Ted. As usual. Nice redition of a Jock Sturges image of Misty Dawn when she was young. I love the tones here and the unique texturing around the top and along the bottom is cool too. And where do you find these gorgeous models?
