Thanks for the Thanksgiving wish and for the feast for my eyes as well. The dof looks good on this and the colors of the Turkey are well captured. Just ignore Sunset Man. No wild Turkeys in Hawaii. The lens seems to have a nice Bokeh as well. Be well, Stan

Great shot! I saw some wild turkeys at a wildlife refuge last spring and was amazed at how fast they were "running" through the woods. Nice that this guy would hold still long enough for you to get this image.
all the best,
Maryanne

I know these are hard to photograph besides blended in with their surroundings they are hard to get close to and stay still long enough for a shot. Excellent capture and photograph

Your pof nicely exposes this bird from the background Brigitte and I can see lovely tones in it's crop and head and beautiful patterning in the feathers. A great capture and nicely presented. Well done to you. All the best......Ray

Do I sense a tone of sarcasm in your comment, Sunset Man?
If I may help clarify what I meant for you:
"a feast for the eyes" MEANING: sight for sore eyes, something pleasurable to behold, beautiful sight
Hope this clarifies things.

Well Dear Ms. Intelligent Brigitte R. ...
I was just quoting you from your about below and specifically statement #3 or are you perhaps having a 'Geriatric Moment'? There is 'Medication' for that you know ...
1. I was very thankful today to be at this beautiful place, the Effie Yeaw Nature Center, only a few miles from my home.
2. Animals were out and about and didn't seem bothered by humans wandering through their home.
3. I was treated to a Thanksgiving feast for the eyes and senses! Here is one of the many beautiful wild turkeys that were roaming about.
4. They have no idea how lucky they are as their lives are spared during the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday.
Wishing everyone here a very Happy Thanksgiving!

I don't understand your question, Sunset Man... sorry. How is it possible to eat meat with the eyes or senses? Maybe you are being silly.... oh well, I am tired tonight.
