WOW, Rachel, you was beautiful at 4 and 18 and I am sure you are beautiful now. Well Rachel I am 64 years old and I have all ways felt kind of like you feel, but I can't say that what other people think of me doesn't matter, because it all ways have, and some people can hurt you and not know it, But with me I think the feeling comes from with in, I have learned that I love my own self more than I once did.
I do want to tell you this I know and I don't really know you, but you have inter strenth from with in excellent job. 7777777777777 BK

Thanks so much Mervo! And ugh, I know - I hate that the zipper and collar are in the picture too! If I were taking this picture specifically for this piece I would have made sure it wasn't there - but it was a random picture of me just sitting in the car so... little did I know that a year or so later I'd use it in this picture. I couldn't think of a way to cut it out either since the shadow of it on my face is so intense. Ah well... you live and learn, now I know to make sure there's no nonsense in the way even if the random pics I take cause I may use it years later in a picture! Thanks so much for your thoughtful comment - i really appreciate it!

Great to see a before and after Rachel! I like the harsh sidelight, the slight over-exposure and the "serious" looks you both have. If I were to pick fault with anything it would be the distraction of the zip on your coat (I presume it's a zip!) and that maybe a little bit of space from the left could be cropped off. Other than that, this would be a great one to hang on your wall!

To your mentioned words I can only agree. If you can't take care of yourself you will not be able to take care of others. Many forget this. Maybe that's why we have so many problems in the world. The don't understand and they just are selfish thinking.
