Rachel, this might just be my favorite in your very impressive portfolio...I love the look on her face, the crispness and the DOF. You have amazing talent at your age, my dear, and I see great things in your future. Congratulations for finding your calling so early in life!!

You have a good eye for expression.

I like the detail in the eyes, and how she looks like she honestly doesn't know her picture is being taken.

What a DOLL! Those big, bright eyes are amazing.

The image looks very oversharpened though. Maybe you have resized it and used USM too much? Otherwise it would be simply lovely.

Great photo Rachel. She look gorgeous. You really seem to love child portraits. You are doing a fine job at such a young age. Keep it up and am sure your enthusiasm will bring you a successful career in photography.

Well done.

Wow, look at those eyes! You really captured a great sense of candidness... it's a talent to get people to forget there's a camera in their face!
The white of her shirt is blown out... perhaps trying to tone it down in photoshop would help. You got such nice exposure on her face, I would hate for you to lose that by trying to meter to make her shirt not so bright.

STUNNING eyes and catchlights. I'm not sure - but it looks oversharpened to me. The pixels look a little warped?

Hi Rachel, a very well controlled and framed photo, the use of DOF is amazing, congratulations! I also like all you amazing photos ......... and also thanks a million for your king comments on my photograph, I feel that you are a very kind and soft person who just loves children the most! But if you take a deeper look at my site you will see how the young and infants are suffering in our nation, we are in a helpless situation.
I am also a high school student from India (18 yrs), recently I went to study in Italy, and I found it just opposite to my country. I'd like to keep in touch with you. Please email me at

Kind Regards,
Debprasad (Munna) ;)

The expression's the thing in this picture of a cute little girl. Ordinarily, I question a horizontal framing, which seems to be so much the fashion these days. Is it the influence of TV? But with the angle of this shot and the inclusion of just a little background on the right for context, I think it is just right. Excellent!

Thank you all for all your nice comments!

Peter, her eyes are pretty much like that, when I changed it to black and white I added more contrast to the picture and, it made the eyes stand out more than they already did, although her eyes already stood out before i changed the contrast.

And Carmem thank you for your comment... i couldn't figure out which to put on this site and which I liked better... color or black and white? I think I like then both the same... but you guys can tell me which you like...

Here is the colored one...

Again, thank you everyone for your comments! :)
