Temple of the Dawn, so named because the first light of morning is reflected off the surface of the temple with a pearly irridesdence) is a buddhist temple (Wat) in Bangkok, Thailand. The temple is located in the Bangkok Yai district, on the west bank of the Chao Phraya River. The full name of the temple is Wat Arunratchawararam Ratchaworamahavihara (วัดอรุณราชวรารามราชวรมหาวิหาร).
Thanks Lise. It is a truly inspiring building in a magical kingdom and bathed in the late afternoon glow – it just had to be captured. I did take another when it was flood lit in a golden glow – it is on the Flickr website and Graemepinniger.com I think.
