Thank you very much, Yen!
The perspective with strong leading lines was indeed a main reason forme to shoot this.
Cheers!

As already said, I wouldn't remove that very front part. I would rather take a steop foreward in order to start with the red-white band right under my feet - right "here".
Cheers!

Thanks a lot for the attachment, Saad, which does have its own charms indeed.
But it is definitely not my case to reduce the available depth. I'll keep it but place the red-white band right in the very foreground, as your attachment does. So I hope to have the best of both worlds, but definitely I wouldn't neglect that part of the perspective lying right in front of my feet.
Cheers and thanks a lot!

Another good idea besides Paul's idea, for which I thank you very much Shaun! This could be indeed a good possibility to enhance it though I would rather prefere Paul's idea of changing the perspective a bit and leaving the DoF as it is now.
But still I'll have to try out as you suggested and see what comes out then. So, as already said, I must only wait for the next reparation if the rails here.
Cheers!

Thanks once more, Dave!
A bit of a different angle as Paul already saud would make it better, I guess.

yes Nick,in my opinion,it should either be removed before shooting,or cropped later, Saad.

Thanks a lot Saad, for the nice detailed comment!
I must understand what you mean, so what is the unnecessary pile? You mean the wood block on the bottom? :-/
Cheers!

Exactly what I expected to read, Paul, namely how to save me from this "lack of impact by strong regularity" in this case! Thanks you really so much for the suggestion! I can quite imagine the strong change that such a small and elegant variation would bring. So, lemme see when they repair the rails again.
Cheers!

yeah good shot Nick.. i maybe would have moved the focal point up slightly to try and gain more clarity in the front to middle of the shot and to make the end not look wasted, but that is just my little opinion.... cheers Shaun..

it would be a great shot if you have just removed the unnecessary pile or whatever you call it from the view,or at least you could cropped it,any way it is a shot with an excellent perspective, and a good composition, cheers, Saad.

I like it, Nick. I think it could have exaggerated the strong vanishing point if you had moved the camera slightly to the right, and then panned a tiny bit to the left.
