The title was named for the Beehive Basin this was taken in Dan. I was at 9,000 ft looking across a snow filled basin after a foot of fresh snow. Would have rather gone skiing. be well, Stan

Very lovely shot, great colours and exposure here. Best of all is the composition. But you lost me with the title

No comment would have been stupid Ray, we all see things that others don't in an image. I found the accumulation of snow to be interesting as it clung to the trees waiting for the wind to shake it out. I work in some beautiful landscapes here in Montana. Thanks for another nice detailed comment. give my best to Ian. Be well, Stan

I was trying to picture the snow covered fir tops as bee hives and then I read your reply to Gary. So it prevented me from making some stupid comment about wild bees and their hives . A beautiful shot my friend with a distant glimpse of the fir trees lower down the slopes. A lovely splash of rich blue toned sky and great detailing of the snow covered branches. Well done to you my dear Stan. My very best wishes to you as always......Ray

Thanks Shirley, I am working in this area at about 9,000 ft. There is over 4 foot of snow on the ground. It is only accessible with 4 wheel drive and some superior driving skills. I am finishing two structures that look like fire towers. I am doing the wood trim and finish inside of them. Glad I am working. It is 1 1/2 hours from my home. be well, Stan

Thanks Ania, the snow had really coated everything like a frosting. This was such a soft and inviting view as the clouds were lifting and the sun was warming up the day. Be well, Stan

The snow on these trees looks very unusual! Like a cream on cake a bit! Beautiful shot!

Hi Gary, the name Bee Hive was for the area of this shot. It is known as Bee Hive Basin. This shot was near the treeline looking east. I thought the snow was beautiful as the morning sun was lighting it. It was a very light and fluffy snow. Be well, Stan

Not sure what you mean by bee hive morning, but the way the snow has landed on those branches is really beautiful Regards, Gary
